I created this piece from photos of my hiking trips in the NorthWest forests.  As I paint large sizes mostly in studio, I dream Im creating a doorway or a large window to view the forest through.  
Hopefully this painting inspires you to "Search for the Light" as you look through the window it creates in your space, a doorway for your mind to wander down the path into the peaceful forest beyond.
As I visit Seattle and Vancouver more often, my paintings reflect the sights I've enjoyed, although forests like this can be found in most areas, off the beaten path.
