Created during the Glacier Art Museum's Plein Air Paint Out Event in Glacier National Park Montana 2025. I had painted this scene alongside the river at the base of Going to the Sun road just past Lake McDonald.
Named for the hours I spent painting and repeating over and over, wait Sun! Just a minute! as the lighting would change and a new cloud moved overhead creating a difficult painting day. One moment theres plenty of contrast, light and shadows, while the next, flat lighting and colors.
Framed in a 2" tall/deep Walnut wooden float frame and available for purchase at Phillips Gallery in Kalispell Montana.
