Curriculum Vitae
Artist Statement
Im inspired by the play of light, when it reflects and creates all the beautiful colors seen in nature. I love painting colorful artistic renditions of National Parks and Western Landscape scenes.
Using Oil paint on canvas mostly, sometimes I'll create a digital version of a scene as a study beforehand to get the composition right.
From hiking, biking and snowboarding, I paint alot of my photos of beautiful Western landscape scenes found adventuring in the Rocky Mountains. From Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington, to Alberta, British Columbia, and all the National Parks in the West. With a few ocean scenes from places like the Pacific Northwest and New England. Living adventurously in the Rocky Mountains, always searching for the light, I intuitively paint colorful representational fine art landscape scenes of forests, mountains, rivers, lakes, sunsets and the beauty found in nature.
Biography
A natural born creative and mostly self taught intuitive artist. Growing up, I was first focused on illustration, digital design, animation, and working as a Graphic Artist right in high school creating logo designs and selling freelance illustrations. Taking classes as a kid from the Cahoon Museum on Cape Cod, Chatham & Sandwich Arts Centers, then moving on to the Art Institute of Boston, and out west to the Breckenridge Colorado Arts District. While adventuring in the mountains, I paint most of my photos and plein aire paint the beauty I find. Creating colorful artistic renditions of the Western Landscape!
